I am just writing a program to launch SimSig :P

I remember there is a program called "The Fiddle Yard" (http://www.SimSig.co.uk/index.php?option=com_kunena&view=topic&catid=14&id=31072&Itemid=0&limitstart=0) to do that, although it is unsupported now. Though I've never tried it.

This program will not be simply a launcher though. I will be implementing "launch sim from jumplist" so that for those who uses Windows 7 can start a sim from the taskbar. I will also try to implement the Uninstal function. If SimSig site can provide some kind of XML file I will also implement an install/update function.

As said in the screenshot, there is no way to show multiplay sessions in the program, unless SimSig website provide a multiplay session manager.

Currently implemented function:
- Search and launch sim
- Shout box on the left panel (requires logging in with Internet Explorer)

I should be able to add some more function in a few days.

I've made an update to it.

Currently supported:
- Windows 7 (x86/x64)

Need to test on Windows XP

Functions:

- List all simulations that has an icon in the start menu
- Attempt to hunk for the uninstaller path of simulations so that they can be uninstalled from the launcher
- Attempt to detect System Files version
- Provides function to detect external IP address in the interface
- List all simulations in the Jumplist to act as a shortcut
- Provides a shout box frame

Installation:

Just extract all files to a directory.

Then when you started it, you can pin it to the Taskbar, so the shortcuts will be available.

Using the shout box:

The cookies aren't shared with Internet Explorer, so you need to sign in inside the frame.

Source code:

Not available yet. Should be available later.

Hi, there seems to be a limit to the number of tasks that can appear on the jumplist. On my machine the limit is 17, can you guys please help testing on your machine and report how many items you see in the Jumplist and your number of installed sims?

Alvin, that multiplayer sessions box at the bottom of the launcher - what is it supposed to do? As I've not got anything appearing there, even after completing many sessions on MP, both hosting and as a client.

Nothing. It is a reserved space, but may not be useful at all in near future.
