Hi Guys,

I have Talk Talk fibre, any explanations how to port forward?

Up to this point I've used virgin media.

Thanks,

James

There should be user manual for the router, either included or online, that will tell you how to set it up?

Internet supplier is irrelevant, it is the router that is the crucial element. If you can identify your router (manufacturer/model or internet supplier) you can go to https://portforward.com/ and either pay for their automatic set-up software or scroll down the page to the link to "List for All Routers" and set things up manually yourself.

Hi,
I have a had the same problem, none of the solutions from PortForwarding as suitable I found as none of the TalkTalk routers are noted in the programme.

I'd be happy to have a go at talking you through what I did to see if we can solve the problem.

The Talk Talk Community Forum has a full article about setting up port forwarding on Talk Talk supplied routers at this link. This is more designed to allow the user to connect a device like a webcam to a designated port, but there should be enough there to point you in the right direction to enable a SimSig connection.

All of the routers Talk Talk give out are on PortForward.com. Along with complete guides on how to setup port forwarding.

Looked at PortForward.com and couldn't find the latest Talk Talk offering, the Super Router. If I have been incompetent with my searching, maybe you could add a link for edam51 to follow.

The Talk Talk forum page I referenced earlier does include instructions for the Super Router.

Looked at PortForward.com and couldn't find the latest Talk Talk offering, the Super Router which may be at the root of the confusion.
I've dug into it and it's a rebadged Huawei HG 635. This guide should be close enough.

Why can't companies just give out one router!

Apologies. You posted while I was editing. Hope that helps edam51 sort things.
