SimSig uses the keys F1 to F11, excluding F9.
Note: Other than these function keys noted below, there are also a few more shortcut keys in use.
F1 will bring up the old user manual that can be downloaded from this site. Please note that it is now obsolete, and has been superceded by this Wiki.
F2 will bring up the Train List window, which is a list of all trains in the area, and contains train control options.
F3 will bring up the Simulation Options window, which allows the user to set personal preferences for Simulation speed, display, and other settings. Some Sims have developer set messages for specific features- a summary can be found here f3message
F4 will bring up the Timetable Editor.
F5 will bring up the Performance Analysis, which will give you a score based on punctuality, correct platform useage and other factors.
F6 will bring up the Telephone Calls window, which displays all incoming calls and allows the user to place calls to sidings etc.
F7 will bring up the Incident Report, which lists all failures and late-running/delayed trains.
F8 will bring up the Simplifier, which allows the user to see which trains pass a certain location at a certain time. Note: This feature is only available on newer simulations, or those that have been refreshed recently.
NOT USED
F10 will bring up the Multiplay messaging window, which allows the user to send messages to other players in Multiplay.
F11 will bring up the Incident Control Panel, which allows users to set their own failures and engineering possessions. Note: Only included on simulations released/refreshed from March 2010 onwards.
