Small amounts of shunting, train regulation, terminating trains, and a few UWCs to get the hang of (but I believe you can turn the amount of calls from them to a minimum, if not off altogether).

Beaten too it. There are one or two small issues that were found as a result of other users running Oxted. It may be worth having a look at the manual here www.simsig.co.uk/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=usertrack:mans:oxted

You may find that the banner repeators do some rather strange things, these are known about and they will not affect the trains in anyway. In the mean time I hope you enjoy the sim

Pity is is not more like a tutorial for me as the only route I have played so far is Royston, checking the tutorial as I go along . Just hope I can have a good go at Oxted. I think I may be shouting for help along the way. Bill

The principles of operating Royston apply everywhere else. Just make sure you read the 'Simulation Operation' page in the Oxted user manual, which explains how to operate the features specific to Oxted.
