A technique I've used on Edinburgh, and Sheffield 1983 TT is to just have the one sticky with just one 4 letter word on it........'Next'.

Then it's clear enough which train will be wanting out first, to keep incomers away/around or held. Once it goes, just move it onto the next due departure. Come to think of it, it doesn't actually need any text on anyway. ;)

I agree that it can be a bit annoying, to tip something into a "sticky-note" and automatically hit enter. Only to find that it doesn't work like that.


As an aside, I use them, on Cambridge particulary, to remind me which end, of a coal train, the loco. was/is, when they are running round in the yard.
I also use them on the SLW scenario, to remind me where the Pilotmen are
