the first time i visited the simsig site, I was tricked instantly by the download ad and even downloading the file. so from a newcomers point of view, this is a serious problem.
luckily i didn't run the .exe that it gave me

i would consider myself quite computer-savvy but i couldn't see that it wasn't an ad. THere isn't a way of stopping these ads completely due to the keywords, so for the safety of the future inhabitants of Simsigland, maybe there needs to be a clearer banner which denotes them as ads.

Having very nearly succumbed to the very same advert on a different website where I was trying to download something, I've now also reported this advert to Google. It would appear I'm not the first to do so, or the first to complain on the web about it. It is pure and simple trickery, and from what I've read the software is particularly nasty as well, so I'm surprised Google haven't clamped down on it already.
