Just been directed to this site but have not made any compare and contrast with earlier examples. Whether better or worse of even a reincarnation of one of them I don't know.

This is actually a rather mad situation!

Did anyone from NR or the FOCs actually complain about the freight times being on there?

The informations is obviously fairly easy to obtain as these two individuals have the capability to do it, so they cannot have that much of a problem with it. I actually work for the railway and I found these sites to be useful to plan when I would try and do a particular job on the track in a particular place, without having to harrass Signallers all the time as to where trains were.

Peter

On this one you're able to show the whole day at a particular location on one page as an overview (rather than having to keep clicking later) and also able to filter the results by TOC

Sort of on the same topic does anyone know if there is anywhere online to search timetables from previous year's WTT?

Wow. I never knew websites like these existed to thank you.

Are the red trains the ones that are cancelled? Is there a key for those learning or anything?

Many thanks
Mark

The red trains appear to be ones running to a VAR schedule instead of a WTT schedule. VAR schedules are temporary, but I don't know the exact definition.

www.goingloco.org/forum/knowledge/kb_show.php?id=25 says: VAR = a WTT working running to a slightly different schedule I don't know if this is correct

That is correct. As when slightly amended due to engineering work or other reasons, but is still the same train.

STP's in the schedule are the tmporary ones, It stands for Short term planning. All of these pretty much run when they are added to timetables charters go down as an stp schedule, Test trains do too.
