panpantom: well done Simon (SV17) first time on KX mp
signaller1: full with a q!
panpantom: KC: Palace seeks a signaller
simon.vale : I'm SV17
simon.vale : Yeh - but I'm a newbie - I'll need something easy to do
panpantom: Simon are you up for KX?
simon.vale : I'm joining
panpantom: any more joining KX?
arabianights: *hurray
arabianights: huray
panpantom: KX hosting details on forum
panpantom: I'll host a KX
simon.vale : I'm going to guess he isn't going to turn up
simon.vale : maybe not..
simon.vale : Haha - its not 10pm yet - patience ;)
arabianights: that said it this does kinda require the 10pm host guy to turn up...
arabianights: :)
simon.vale : And there weren't any spare platforms in Liverpool Street either
simon.vale : I made a huge mistake with the Liverpool Street Sim - I had the Bishopsgate Tunnel closed, and there was just a huge queue of 5 trains trying to get to Bethnal Green
simon.vale : Yeh that would be good - I'm not sure I trust myself with anything more
arabianights: cause it's not really possible to make a HUGE mistake with that
arabianights: or if you're completely new it might be worth asking to do the hertford loop
simon.vale : ok
arabianights: what normally happens is everyone is assigned a panel on a first come first served basis
arabianights: you will have to speak to the host about it but they will probably not want to link with a complete newbie cause there are lots of extra issues if you are a host (which you would have to be if you wanted to link)
simon.vale : as you can link sims together can't you?
simon.vale : I also have the Royston one - so I could just be left to that one as its simple enough ;)
simon.vale : Just installed it
simon.vale : Ok :)
arabianights: download simsig kings cross (and simsig main files) then wait for thread in the forum with details for the multiplayer
simon.vale : I'm a relative newb but I don't mind trying out a signalling session. What do I need to do?
Morsey: More KX?! Im up for it :P
arabianights: moi aussi
georgerb: KX @ 10pm - count me in please
jc92: sounds like a good plan :) I could look at hosting a late night Sim circa 10pm
jimgos2005: what to do on a rainy evening lets have an mp session kx if possible

Saltley 1995-1996 Timetable General Description.

Here is a brief overview of the timetable.

Saltley PSB controls the diesel lines that radiate around the Birmingham New Street area. This timetable represents traffic that ran during 1995-1996.
Passenger & Parcels Train Services taken from Section CC WTT 24th September, 1995 to 01st June, 1996 Chesterfield to Barnt Green. Section CG WTT 24th September, 1995 to 01st June, 1996 Marylebone to Birmingham & Stratford Upon Avon to Birmingham. Additional information regarding RES services taken from RES Train service Guide.
Freight Train services taken from Railtrack Midlands WTT 19th November, 1995 to 13th January, 1996 Derby to Barnt Green & Branches, West Midlands Area, Heyford to Bordesley & Branches, Rugby to Stafford via Bescot. Additional Freight Trains Services taken from WCML(south) & West Midlands Trip Notice.
Composition & train lengths taken from East Midalnds Freight train loads book 1990 & Trainload freight loads book (East) 1993, Railtrack Midlands zone freight trains loads book commencing 14/01/96 & Railtrack LNE zone freight trains loads book commencing December 1996.
Additional information taken from Working Manual for Rail Staff 1989 & December 2003.
Train Headcodes.
Freight train headcodes usually end in a letter which denotes the freight train company responsible for running that service.
W – Trainload Freight West – Transrail
M – Trainload Freight South East – Mainline Freight
L – Trainload Freight North East – Loadhaul
D – Railfreight Distribution
F – Freightliner ‘95
R – Rail Express Systems
Train headcodes with ‘T’ in it are Trip workings (eg xTxx)
LSFP – these headcodes represent Lawley Street Freightliner Pilot.
TYDS – these headcodes represent Tyseley Depot Shunts.
MGR services.
MGR coal trains from the east midlands coalfields are worked by Cl.60s with sets of 38 MGR wagons & as they are Cl.60 hauled no banker at Cam Hill is required. Loaded MGR trains from Daw Mill Colliery worked by Cl.56s or Cl.58s are sets of 32 MGR wagons.
Freight Train Operations.
Landor Street is the busiest relieving point for traincrew working freight trains on the network. Whilst most of the trains in the WTTs used show the majority of freight trains running via the min line (ML), in reality this may work once the passenger traffic subsides, but I suggest due to high amount of freight traffic in this timetable freight trains are routed via the Down Goods at either Castle Bromwich Junction or Washwood Heath No.1. There is an abundance of slot requests on whoever works the Centre panel for freight trains destined for either Washwood Heath sidings or Lawley Street FLT.
Passenger Train Operations.
The passenger train operations get quite manic during the morning & evening peak periods. The reversing siding at Longbridge will cater for 2 or 3 units on top of each other. There is a point in the evening peak where there are 3 separate ECS services from Soho Depot. 2 of these go into Longbridge reversing siding & the other reverses at Barnt Green platform 4,so watch out for those.
1M80R is a charter train to Stratford Upon Avon & requires a run round at Dorridge. Can’t think of anything else to add right now except keep checking the routing of the trains on the panel as some of routes vary from the norm.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Darren Goble for his excellent effort in creating this sim & to Joe Chandler(jc92) & Chris(Derbybest) for their assistance in thwe testing process. To everyone else who plays this timetable whether on your own or during a multi-play session, I hope you enjoy it as much as Darren & the testers have.
Be warned this timetable gets exetremely busy

Good Luck.

Thanks for the timetable 58050. Having a good time playing it. I've noticed a rule that has been missed out as 6O58D entered from Washwood Heath Up Sidings before 0O58D the loco to work it appeared from Saltley LIP.

Yes I noticed that this afternoon whilst watching AF hosting the timetable. I suspect the easiest way round that is for each individual person who downloads this timetable to add it in themselves. But thanks for letting me know.

LSFP3 (Cl08 pilot) appears to be 118m long? Or incorrect description?

I've just checked the timetable & it's a Cl.08+5 x loaded FSAs. Cl.08 refers to the loco type & the term 'Lawley Street Pilot' is the therm used in the Trip Notice.
