I have an interesting phone call from 5F51 saying that he is waiting at Signal PLATFORM5. As the below diagram suggests, this is a bit strange. A bug?

equally i found 2f02 starting from P7 against a red starting signal. it stopped at the (i presume invisible for interlocking purposes) signal PLATFORM7. no TRTS was received.

Sorted out in my data.

Trains now TRTS and will phone in from the right signal.

I will try and sort out a refreshed version soon...
That wasn't incorrect regulation - that was editing the timetable!

Sam

Hi Sam, as I put in my post yesterday evening, I think I solved this for the interim by only interposing at the 'buffer' end, then on departure the train seems to behave ok, I then interpose any subsequent TD at the buffer end again. As a relative newbie I enjoy trying to solve probs as they pop up, but probably not always in the approved fashion, lol!

Mal.
How long will the next train to Redditch be? Three coaches sir.

Mal,

This is not an issue to do with the location of the Train Description. This is to do with there not being a signal the buffer-stops side of the siding points on the platform line. A work around in SimSig was made, but needs more work.

I have fixed it in my data, but there is more I want to do with it.

Well as that's how it always used to be done IRL (and maybe still is)... how about it as an option Matt?

Hi all, I've so far managed to work round the signal problems with Plat 1, 5 and 7. I keep an eye for departure time and then set the road, and trains then move ok.

Edit - Had a better idea, use a sticky - foolproof, lol!
