I just bought the Rugby multipack. I received the PayPal confirmation, but have not received any confirmation from SimSig. In addition, the sim doesn't appear in the licence manager. My PayPal address is kirks[HYPHEN]house[AT]tiscali[DOT]co[DOT]uk In addition, I have also accidentally bought it twice (the first time I bought it, I didn't check for a PayPal email and so I assumed it was just me, and I hadn't gone through the process properly, so I did it again with the same result). Muzer, I reported something similar myself earlier today. Being a cautious type I didn't attempt the purchase again. Instead I posted on the forum and in the meantime contacted my credit card provider to confirm whether or not the transaction had gone through. I made my purchase shortly after 11.00am UK time but nothing appeared in my email or license manager until almost 2.00pm. Peter B picked up on things very quickly and Geoff always seems to sort things like this out very well indeed so I'm sure all will get sorted for you. Log in to reply |

I have also purchased the Rugby multi and I am having the same problem. None of the Rugby sims appear in the Licence Manager and no confirmation from Simsig. My user name for the Licence Manager is Bobby, and my email address for confirmation is bazmedlock@outlook.com.

Muzer and Bobby: I've checked PayPal and the ordering backend of SimSig and both say the same thing: PayPal has not confirmed purchase. There were purchases made after yours and they completed with licenses issued. There are various reasons why there could have been no response from PayPal: payment not authorised/declined, user cancelled before completion, e-check being selected (takes several days), fraud detection requiring somebody from PayPal and/or your bank to manually approve the transaction, probably more. That being said, when I made my test purchase on the 2nd, it took nearly 10 minutes for mine to come through from PayPal. Initially it was put on my card as a $1 hold before it was turned into a £39.99 transaction. Yet others came through almost instantly. Three hours for Javelin is excessive but am going to follow up with PayPal to see why there are delays. Muzer and Bobby: can you PM me your PayPal receipt number(s) please? Same problem here. Payment receipt from Paypal arrived at 12:50. When I click on the transaction ID to see what's happening it says the action couldn't be completed and there's no record of the payment in my account history. Also no money taken from bank account yet.

Looking through the history of transactions that completed, these are the times from then the shopping basket was started to when confirmation from PayPal was received: 1 min 2 mins 2 mins 1 min 5 mins 3 hours 2 hours 4 minutes 1 hour 59 minutes 3 mins 1 hour 56 minutes 1 hour 28 minutes 1 hour 9 minutes 2 mins 25 mins Next 25 all under 5 minutes In terms of timeframe these orders were placed around 8-10pm last night (2nd 3) and 6-9am this morning (1st 3) (GMT). All I can think at the moment is that something happened during those times and they're backed up in PayPal somewhere. I understand this is worrying when it comes to your money and I appreciate your patience while I try to sort this out. Geoff, for info I bought the Leamington/Shresbury multibuy with PayPal receipt time stamp of 15:08, [...GM deleted...] still no sign of Leamington as at 18:23. Will hold on and see if/when it appears and advise. Never had any issues with PayPal until now.

Just to let everyone know, Muzer's two purchases came through to me simultaneously, again several hours late. There's nothing we can do unfortunately until PayPal slowly clear their backlog - which does seem to be happening.

Another one through, 4h12 this time. Hang in there those that didn't receive yet - looks like things are nearly back to normal. Incidentally I did also have 2 orders in the last hour that went through in seconds.

I believe the backlog was cleared and everybody received their licenses. Apologies again, but there was nothing we could do except wait until PayPal sorted themselves out. Annoying thing is they never responded or even acknowledged there was a problem, even though it was clear it was affecting a large number of users.
