I have got the situation where there is a lamp failure at BN51 that is causing OL3150 to be held at red. 6o15 is stopped at OL3150, however, I can't talk him past as I don't control that signal. As far as the Sim goes, I suspect I will have to wait for S&T to change the bulb but how would this situation be dealt with in real life?

The signaller at Leamington would talk 6O15 past OL3150, he has track circuit indications upto and including the overlap of BN51 signal.

Though I would assume that the signaller at BN need to give him permission to do so (as it is entering a block section between two signalboxes, albeit one that is usually controlled without any direct input from either end), and also have the Leamington signaller caution the train with regards to the failure so that the driver doesn't suddenly find a dark signal.

Could this not be simulated in Simsig by having the ability to talk trains past signals not controlled by the Simsig signaller but impacting on running the sim. Just a thought.

If it's a single player game you can talk the train past using F2. If it's a multiplayer game the host can use F2 to do this.

But you can't, that was the point of the post. The train is standing at a signal outside of the sim's control and can't be talked past.

You can still tell it to go past using F2, right click the train> Signalling options> Authorise train to pass signal at danger.
