Just boarded 1E19 at Darlington which arrived just behind the new Hitachi Class 800 on test from York arriving after one of it's test runs which it has been doing today. 001 and 002. Looks pretty impressive and will post a picture later if anyone is interested.

3 pictures attached. 800 001was at the front i.e. North leading end as it arrived at Darlington (5X16) to be positioned on the station loop platform 1 to return south with 800 002 then leading (5X17).

Picture 1 arriving at Darlington. Picture 2 800 001 and picture 3 800 002. Sorry about the quality but they were taken with my Nokia phone.

The test paths were originally STP for both Monday and today but for whatever reason Monday was cancelled.

Hitachi sets 800 002 and 800 005 have just been sent down to North Pole as 5X79 Merchant Park to Doncaster and 5X80 Doncaster to North Pole. Attached is a picture of the formation just passing through New Southgate at 21:50 approximately 10 minutes late. They looked to be fitted out complete
A case of sending a present from Japan to Santa's address...haha.
