Hey all, need help please. I am using June 1989 as a timetable and 0A10 will not leave platform 9 and enter the engine sidings. It is saying Held by conditions although I cannot find any conditions that need to be met before the move. I have already used the engine sidings successfully........any thoughts?

TIA

Tom

Unfortunately, the timetable window is blocking the area that would give us a clue ;)

Could you post a saved game, as even with a view of the area it's not always possible to tell what the issue is with things like that.

I would but after about 10 mins, the loco just moved. I never did find out what conditions where causing the problem. The signal that was holding it never lit up. I will see if it happens again next time there is a move.

Did you set the route from platform 9 to the white triangle? You can't set the route to the main aspect for the further route into the sidings; I think this is the 'held by conditions'
There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway.

In order to get a train from platform 9 to the engine siding, you must first set a route from 390 to the white triangle to its left. Then set a route from 374 to 1138. Because you are setting a shunt route from 374 into the siding, you have to set a shunt route from 390 to the triangle. If you set a main aspect route from 390 to 374, the route to the siding will NOT clear.

The manual states this:

"The signals in platforms 9 to 12 (MP390/376/378/380) won’t show proceed unless signal MP374 is showing proceed. Furthermore, the same type of route must be set: for example, if a main aspect is showing at MP374, then a main route has to be set from MP390/376/378/380; conversely, if a call-on or shunt route is set to MP374 then a call-on or shunt route must be set from MP374 also."

These are the "conditions" that are preventing the route from proving.
