is this supposed to be 15MPH?
the approach control sig comes off when trains are at 40MPH

It is indeed 15mph for a stretch.

All the approach timers in the sim were set from the actual Control Tables so the time is prototypical even if it seems a bit short in this case. There are a few that seem too long as well, but they are all accurate.

If you turn track circuit breaks on you'll see the berth track for the signal extends round the curve.

That's the extremity of the berth track for the signal. Looks odd with TC breaks toggled off, but it is fine.

what is the history with severn tunnel jn station?
i was reading something about it having 4 platforms? I dont know that area very well.

The station was rebuilt around the same time the area was resignalled to SWCC. It is located closer to Bristol now.
