Good afternoon all I'm playing the updated sim just one question comes to mind that this sim has now 7 platorms and patorm 1 is no longer a dead end platform is this going to be updated agin soon. and also is Stafford going to get a update aswell with the new flyover now in place thankyou paul Paul Log in to reply |

I can't answer your question about a revised version of the sim but I can tell you that the changes made are quite a bit more than what you stated. The following is an extract from an article dated December 2011 on the Peterborough Telegraph website: "The redevelopment of the railway station will bring the following changes: - The creation of two new platforms, platforms 6 and 7, on the west side of the line closest to Midland Road, which will be used by east-west trains. - Platforms 2 and 3 extended and widened to facilitate 12-carriage Thameslink services and re-named platforms 1 and 2. - Platform 1 removed to make way for platform 2 extension. - The creation of a new platform 3 which will be used for high-speed services to London. - Platforms 4 and 5 extended in readiness for future Intercity Express services, which will bring new trains on long-distance routes to northern England and Scotland. - A new goods loop created to the west side of the station to increase freight capacity on the route from Felixstowe to the Midlands. - A new footbridge providing access to all platforms, which will be accompanied by a new lift, boosting convenience for less mobile passengers." Yes, the thread was originally posted in the 'General Comments' section, hence why I was a bit sarcastic. In answer to the original question: Clive (the developer of the simulation) was asked shortly after the update was released if the new layout would be included at some point in the future. His response was: Clive said: Yes, but Peterborough now goes to the back of my queue again, so don't hold your breath.(Original post here) So unless he comes along and says differently, I suspect the usual SimSig answer of "It'll be ready when it's ready" will apply.
