Performance analysis chart 14/04/2019 at 11:44 #117554

Since a recent update (I think), when I select "Performance Analysis" (F5), I see the attached chart, whereas before, I just used to see my scores.

Would someone please explain what the circled text indicates. I gather the 'OT' means 'On Time', but not sure about the rest.

Thanks

So it was 1 min late entering, on time in area and left on time. The E would be early

Almost -

1L/OT/- would be for a train currently in sim - it entered 1L and is currently on time.

1L/-/OT would be for a train that entered 1L, has been dealt with and left the sim on time.

I don’t think you should be able to get all 3 columns at once.

Personally, I think it would be better to keep F5 for the summary score screen and then people can click through to the detailed train list if they want more information.

It makes more sense where it is. The train list is for current in sim trains only however this lists all trains including ones that have already entered and left. It's more for identifying where youve lost or gained minutes.

I used it to identify the issue on Sheffield with trains loosing time from Penistone as I could quickly cross reference all trains that had run and check their delay data.

I've just logged this as a tweak to have the default view to be that of the old F5, and allow the user to click through to the new individual train delay window if they show wish. #24646. Personally I'd agree that this would be more logical, get the summary, and then the detail later if someone wants it.

Thanks for the clarification.

I don't actually mind if the current default view is left as is. It's only a click to view the scores in any case.

Or by the same logic the summary at the top and then the detail below if it is all on a single tab. However, we know that any change to the format has been ruled out so we move on.

Exactly!

But sadly others still feel the need to argue anyway.

The only person doing any arguing in this thread is you! All I did was make a suggestion - if you don't agree that is fine but I am not sure why you have got quite so defensive?

Before we go much further perhaps we need some guidelines about what is and is not appropriate comment for a public forum.

I stated the position. That is not arguing.

Reminds me of when my boss told me not to use words in my reports that he did not understand, so I asked him for a list of words he did not understand so I could avoid them.

Was anyone really arguing to start with? A suggestion was raised and several people laid a viewpoint either side of it with their reasoning. Geoff confirmed it won't change. Noone then argued against that. John stated his opinion but accepted the official position in the same post.

I also think the default tab should be the other one. Or I would like to have the delay status of trains as a column in the F2 train list instead. I hardly look at this, if it's intended to find out where trains lose time then it's mostly a developer thing. I used it to report a bug but not much more than that.

Another issue I had, at some exit points the time of the train doesn't move up to the last column. Happens for instance at Guide Bridge Yard on Manchester East. So it looks like there's some small bugs. Also, I don't like that scrolling is not possible in a normal way in the dialog, I need to drag the scrollbar instead of using a mousewheel and any click on a train opens a pop-up which opens behind the F5 window.
