Greetings all,

While playing the TBASC session today (23rd November) on the 2019 timetable I took a phone call from train 9R46 reporting an ACOA at Purley. However Purley is covered by Panel 2 of the sim (of which AJ was in control) and I had 1B & 1C thus the phonecall should not have come to me.

Also, having later moved up to Panels 3 & 4 (Redhill and Gatwick respectively) I am unsure why all the trains through the Redhill area were able to work ARS but 2A08 ended up ringing in 8 minutes late as the ARS seemed uninclined to let it depart even though I did tell it to become ARS. Eventually I collared some signals which trains were approaching and then routed 2A08 myself. Not sure if this bit is a bug or not though.

Cheers,
Dave

I know it was the later era. what signal was it that it called from? I've had a look myself and can't see any signals allocated to the wrong workstation.

what was 2A08's ARS status? was it waiting for manual route. giving priority to another service etc? its difficult to replicate without knowing whats happening around it. For instance was it giving priority to a late running train that was miles away. also which signal was it held at?

Also if it was waiting to depart from Redhill station itself, did it ring out TRTS?

9R46 was on its usual platform at Purley - platform 3 - so the ACOA was from T170 which is Purley's starter signal heading toward Purley Oaks. Not being able to see 9R46 on my screen I checked the F2 list and it came up as being at Purley.

I didn't check the ARS status but 2A08 rang in complaining of being held at a red signal: the ARS was routing trains across the junction over which 2A08 should have gone. 2A08 was waiting to leave from Platform 1 for Tonbridge.
