Running the 1983 TT, I had a train into Bishopton BAE sidings (I can't remember the reporting number), and now every subsequent train arriving at Bishopton on the Down line stops and is 'Held By Conditions'. I'm having to abandon then reinstate the timetable for each train to get them on the move. Has anyone else had this happen? I've attached a couple of saves.

Regards,

Phil

How did you get the train into the siding?
Did you use the frame and in particular clear signal 55?

Yes Peter, I released the siding frame as the freight approached Bishopton so that the 2-min timeout would be complete by the time it got to P55 Sig, then operated the frame and cleared the slot on P55 Sig. Once the train was inside I normalised the frame and took the release back and then all the subsequent trains began stopping and being held by conditions.

To confirm, your fix worked. 1G49 started after being held by conditions when I opened your fixed sim file, 2G51 and 2G53 both stopped as booked, completed station duties and went on their way without incident.

Many thanks Peter.

Regards,

Phil.

Appreciate this is an old thread, but I have experienced the same problem. I've been putting up with the problem until about 10.30 sim time when I decided to see if it was a known problem. Is there a fix I can apply myself or do I need to submit a saved game to be amended?
Edit: Save attached anyway.

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to continue abandoning and reinstating the timetable! Would have been nice if a dev had responded.

Dick, while I can get the save game to exhibit the held by condition from you're save game, I was not able to get the issue to reoccur from a fresh start. Would you minds starting another session up from a custom start time of 0807 (1 min before 6T71 enters the sim which goes to BAE) and see if it reproduces for you. If it does, could you post exactly what steps you took to operate the groundframe

I have however found a method that will allow you to recover the game and remove the issue of held by conditions without needing to edit the SSG File.
On starting the sim from the save, press the replacement on P55
Release the siding ground frame by clicking on the F roundal
After the 2 min time out, release the frame, pull the siding points, and operate the slot on P55
Confirm that the Subsidiary shunt aspect displays
Deselect the slot, normalise the points, lock the frame up and rightclick on the F
Return P55 to normal working
Any following trains on the Down Line should pass without issues (I ran 4 or 5 through with no assistance needed)

Thanks very much, that seems to work ok. Running through again from a 0807 start also worked ok. Strange.
