Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've deliberated about this and the change adhering to realism closest would be to:

  • Change 2C41 to N:5B552

  • Remove entry point from 5B552

  • Change 5B552's TT to read:

PARSON ST --:-- 16:14 ML
BEDMINSTER 16:16 16:21 RL 3
BRISTOL WEST JN --:-- 16:22
ST PM WEST 16:25 16:53
...

  • Delete 5B551

Looks good to me. I'd have never thought of that. I'll know now to look at this type of option when I come across this kind of thing in the future. Thanks very much for your help.

Again, from memory, in the many times I've run the TT I've not had problems with 2C41/5B551. But just in case I'd missed something, e.g. signalled the train straight through to Bristol West, I tested the train.

It would appear that trains changing train description (in this case from 2C41 to 5B551) are not affected by the issue even if they are brought to a stand behind sig.60 before setting the route into the depot. In test I waited until 5B551 received Right Away at Parson St before setting the route and the train moves off without any complaint.

So I don't think anything needs changed for 2C41/5B551.

Edit: On a hunch I went back and changed the TT of 5C611 and make the train stop at Parson St. waiting for Right Away before setting the route and it departed for the depot without any problems. So it would appear that the problem is with trains set to PASS Parson St. before entering the depot which is the problem.

Planotransitophobic!

I had the same issue with driver complaining about incorrect route and the TT had Parson St as the penultimate location. Removing Parson St from the TT removes the problem. No more unhappy driver (or signaler for that matter!)

[quote=guidomcc;post=33416]*Sudden realisation*

I had to remove the location Parson St from the timetables post-testing. Does this train have Parson St in its TT?

Reason: Sorry - tried (and failed) to include quote and my reply. This can be hidden/deleted as was successful at next attempt (below) #badday
