On the subject of Barton Lane, is it right prototypically that signal T4 must clear (and hence Barton Lane must be down) before a train can enter Thornton Abbey station in the Down direction?
Have just noticed this myself. The train involved in my case is 2F85 and he's standing at Signal T4 whilst showing as still due to call at Thornton Abbey (last location on F2 is Ulceby). Based on this photo and Google Maps I cannot see why any train would be required to have the crossing closed and cleared before being allowed to stop there.

Any views and / or opinions expressed by myself are from me personally and do not represent those of any company I either work for or am a consultant for.

Ta "Baary" (:P)

It didn't seem to have been acknowledged (unless I missed it), hence my post.
