Firstly the possible bug: in the process of creating a timetable which includes trains that use that the Rowntrees siding at Wood Green, the first time I tried to route a train into it I came across the following problem:

Clicking on the F button for Wood Green C, I get the message 'Cannot release frame' appear. After a bit of head-scratching and trying out the other lever frames, I came across this: If you have routes set from signals 929 and 930 at Watton-at-Stone, which means that Watton GF cannot be released, Wood Green C cannot be released as well, but if no routes are set from signals 929/930, then you can click on the F button at Wood Green C and the frame can be released. If you try the KX sim in the old era with no timetable, you should be able to re-create this.

During the head scratching I found you could route a train into Rowntrees siding from signal 117 without the frame being released.

Now for the query:
I know that Rowntrees siding is an entry point but should trains be able to leave the area there, as when I have routed trains in there I have come across the message on the F2 screen 'At buffer stop' and I cannot get the train to exit without performing extreme measures. Should this be the case?

Hope this helps,
Chris.

Geoff, I have some further information I should have included in my previous post:

with N illuminated on Wood Green lever frame, when you try to operate the release lever, it bounces back to the top like it should in this state, but the points and the slot on K117/118 levers can be changed with N illuminated, as they should be when F is illuminated and the release lever operated, therefore you can set routes from K117/118 and both signals clear when you shouldn't be able to.

Chris.
