I think I've discovered a couple of bugs while preparing a new timetable:

  • At Stonehaven, you can't wave a train back into the Up Sidings because there's no way to move the points. This also happens at Carmont. Mechanical locking is disabled, and the 'extra' TCs have not been added.

  • Perth Muirton is only available on the Up line, i.e. you can't reverse behind P191- is this correct?

  • P46 changes shape when a route is set into South Sidings- the stem jumps over the rest of it.

One more: there's no entry point for Craigo siding, and setting the entry point to 'Near End' doesn't stop a train disappearing there.

EDIT: Sorted that one, works fine if you have further locations specified.

Might not be able to look into this till Friday evening; save that I think I know about some of the issues.

Thanks.

Just found another one, I'm afraid: trains can't get from the Up Main to Arbroath Down Goods- they drop to 0mph before entering TAH2041.

There appears to be some paths missing at Carnoustie: Carnoustie> Carnoustie (Rev) CA15 doesn't work, and neither does Carnoustie> Carnoustie siding.

Sorry I keep breaking the sim!

Recenetly fixed

  • Good question, not programmed but maybe it should be.

  • OK now, must have fixed sometime ago.

Can't find a problem on any of the versions I have, though I did notice Wiki says 3.238.2 is the latest but I have a 3.238.3 release build - something not quite right.

Looks like the installation is 3.238.3 but the installer is labelled 3.238.2.2

    Another wee one Peter,

The sim thinks LK12 (Laurencekirk Distant) is in the Longforgan area.

Thanks, I'll have another look at the original McSim shortly I think. I've had a problem converting Edinburgh to loader but I may just re-release individually rather than as a set as I'd planned.

Tbh I suspect if you release them individually you'll also get more people buying them, as then the "market" won't be flooded with new sims, as it were. Just my suspicions, I don't have any data to back this up of course.

I'm not sure if it would have an effect on buying- the simulations have been released for two and a bit years now, and were the first payware simulations!

In terms of buying them all or individually, there's an incentive in the form of the Multibuy that gets you all four (Cowlairs, CScot, NEScot and Edinburgh) for £5 less than getting them each individually.
