I've just finished playing through an entire timetable on the Victoria South Eastern sim. I have to say, it's a very enjoyable sim and I'm very grateful for all the effort that has gone into it.

However, I did also come across one or two problems while playing it and I hope that, by raising them, we can make it even better.

Mandatory info: I was using version 1.5 of the South Eastern sim and 4.5.2 of the loader (I'm aware there's been an update at the time of writing, however I started playing when 4.5.2 was the most recent version).

I encountered a serious problem with the panel 5 fringe to Central at Battersea Pier Junction. None of the trains timetabled to enter the sim at "Up Slow Battersea Park" entered when I was playing and I could find no fault with the timetable data.

Additionally, one train (I'm sorry, I forget which) is timetabled to run along the Battersea Reversible, onto Central's tracks and then back onto South Eastern's tracks and into platform 8. This train had no problem leaving South Eastern and then running along Central's tracks - I could see it from the limited indications you get of Central's panel 1. The request from 532 was duly operated and I set the route from the exit arrow into panel 8. But Central didn't set their half of the route. The train was held at VC532, which would not clear. I had to manually lock the points and authorise the train past the signal at danger. The slot request could not then be cancelled.

(Admittedly, I did not wait for more than a few minutes, so it may simply have been the Central could not set their half of the route at that time, but allied with the other problems, I felt safe in assuming that the route wouldn't have been set if I'd waited an hour. I may be wrong about that, in all fairness.)

The problem with trains reversing at Battersea Park behind VC561 that is well known about persists

I still get an access violation when 1Q61-5 leaves the sim, however, the sim remained playable and I was able to complete the whole timetable

I occasionally got bizarre "ARS subarea(s) cancelled due to route cancel" messages come up, although I had not cancelled any route. This may be a loader problem, though, (I'm aware I'm not running the current version) as I got similar messages on Wimbledon.

Very rarely does the message "<train> requires manual route to be set" get displayed (though it is sometimes displayed). Is this by design? Because it's a shame to lose this useful feature.

Otherwise it's a very fine sim, but it'd be wonderful of these little niggles could be cleared up, because they detract slightly from what should be one of my favourite sims.

I am interested. Did you use ARS ? I am slowly working through a completely non-ARS Vic SE run ( represents a demented piano player at times )

I did use ARS, yes. I am far too much of a novice to do the whole thing solo without ARS. (Though, in my defence, I do only have a laptop).
