I am running a simulation and I can't get a signal to change from red to green. The signal has shunting signal attached that is off. I waited about 5 min game time and the train(2L84) won't move even though the ready to depart light is flashing. could someone please explain what is happening or how to have the train move?

In order to answer this I need at least the following four pieces of information to be supplied please

1. Location of the train
2. Signal that is not going red to green by number
3. Signal that is showing the TRTS indicator
4. Timetable in use.

Paul

You have to get a red before you can get any other colour

One post should be sufficient.

You need to set a route from the signal the train is at to the next signal in line of route. You do that by left clicking on the start signal and then on the end signal. You repeat that for all signals (not automatics) that lead the train to its destination.

Our Wiki contains some information https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Wiki/Show?page=usertrack as well as some video tutorials

However, you say the shunt signal is off - how did you do that?

Off as in off (white)? Or off as in off (red)?

If the shunt is red then I wouldn't expect it to step up to a yellow.
