Unable to login to licence manager again after my pc was switched off and back on again, must be security issues on my pc will investigate when I get home again.

I sometimes get an issue. However, it is usually my Firewall being over-cautious, try adding it as an exception and allow it through whenever it wants.
Failing that, try and reinstall the system files.

Sorry for delay in reply

Connecting ok again now after Windows firewall was checked yet again, i also created a new user on my pc and can now connect to licence manager and updare the sims.

I was also having problems accessing the Licence Manager with the "Failed to connect to server" message.

Latest system files installed.

I tried disabling my anti virus to no avail.

It wasn't until I created a new user that I managed to solve the problem.

I assume that was a new user *on your PC* rather than a new user here?

Either way, seems a bit odd that simply doing that would cause your AV/firewall to decide it's okay to connect to SimSig.

New user on my PC but using the same geswedey login, windows firewall already had SimSig as an exception so nothing there was actually changed

Given what you are saying that the user name and password for SimSig are correct, but on your PC you could not use the SimSig login in one user account to log in to license manager or update, but you could another, would suggest that a windows (or other operating system) user security setting is responsable.

What it would be I cannot guess,

Yeah, a new user on my PC, Geoff.

I tried disabling my AV, then deleted my AV altogether plus switched off Windows firewall, nothing worked until I created a new user then it was fine. Strange.
