ARS not working. 28/03/2010 at 19:58 #1009

I was wondering if there is a bug on Swindid that means the ARS no longer works?

All the ARS buttons are on but train identifiers indicate non-ARS. If I right-click, and select make train ARS it reports that the train cannot be made ARS. I was hoping to play the sim with ARS for some parts and then manual in other areas, but can't play it like that or with full ARS.

Any help/ideas on how this may be tackled would be appreciated.

Are the trains that you mention on the indicated tracks? What I mean is that if the train is on a track that is not part of it's ARS path it will indicate it cannot be made ARS. Happens frequently when trains entering from Reading use the slow instead of fast or viceversa.

If this is the case, you can then route it wherever appropriate to the correct path and you should be able to make it ARS.

Nicholas

Yes, the trains are on the indicated tracks. Currently have 4 trains all on the right route and none can be made ARS. I have just checked another sim (LivSt) and that has the same problem. Seems all the ARS enabled sims that I have may be affected...

I could try reinstalling the core files as it seems there may be a bigger problem!?

Thanks,

Alex

Have you checked the f3 options are correctly set?

Thank you Peter, I found the issue under the F3... For some reason the ARS and ACI were not checked for any class at all. I've fixed it now and it's running smoothly.

Thanks again,

Alex
