On starting your new timetable, I get an alert message saying " non-description sent to Fringe Signal Box."

Thats a simulation fault.

Any train leaving Avonmouth (eg. 6D01) will give that message to you.

Only one problem so far and that is 5F25 from St.Phillips Marsh to Hereford via Temple Meads has the 'special timing pattern' box checked which doesn't allow the train to enter until it is unchecked. With the trains occupying two platforms at temple Meads ie: 5/6 instead of 6 sometimes abandoning t/t works as with 1F01-1 then the whole train moves to the correct position.Great t/t though.

Further to my last post 5L22 has the 'special timing pattern' box checked as well and i have just found 2B54 gets blocked in platform 4 by 5E27/1E27.

More platform changes:
2G22 - Plat 5
2V77 - Plat 15
5O60 - Plat 8

Sorry Guts on 5E27 i should have read the t/t a bit more closely, still coming out at that point saved a nasty points failure into P1. Thanks for the platform changes for the other moves.

More Plat changes. These ones are off the cuff though. I'm gonna check them again, so use these ones at your own risk:

2G29 - Plat 10
5G00 - Plat 4
2V93 - Plat 10
5C65 - Plat 12
1A35 - Plat 5

Sorry 1A35 is wrong I'm gonna have to work suttin out.

The main problem I have with platforming is 9/10 and 11/12. You cant cross the boundaries without talking past the signal at danger this is what has limited my platforming.

I gonna have another look today or tomorrow.

5O60 should go to Plat 9 instead of Plat 8. This allows you to have a platform free.

also are 2C13/2C15 correct, just on the departure from cardiff to its entry point Severn tunnel, does it really take 1hr 58mins from Cardiff - Severn tunnel??? i know its a type 2 and a unit, but its not that slow surely!

EDIT: also a morning ECS HST to BTM (forms a 1Axx BTM - padd) forget the times, sorry, but the description says 'St phillips marsh - Weston Super Mare'

Apologies. I messed up a few of the Descriptions, coz I was trying to finish it before I lost the details. 1C59 being a prime example. LOL

Plat changes:
1E46 Plat 11

Also 1F35 should be even earlier at 21:31 instead of 20:56 and 21:21.

Has anyone succeeded in joining the three services ending with 2B90 (i think) together ? I have tried all sorts to get them to join but they refuse to meet !! Reversing, editing, abandoning and re-instating timetables - they all fail.

Its partly a sim issue and partly a timetable issue.
Its a sim issue in that they should join, but I think they stop short or dont recognise the train in front.
Its a timetable issue in that maybe where I have platformed the train is also the problem.

The Solution:
Whichever train arrives first, just leave it.
The 2nd Train MUST have its timetable abandoned as soon as it gets onto the platform, preferably before it stops moving. (N.B. This is only to stop you having to reverse the direction). When the train pulls up to the stationary train, you will see the message 'Train in Front' in 'F2' view. At this point you should click 'Run to timetable' with the right timetable, REMEMBERING to 'Set Current' location to Bristol Temple Meads. The train will then join.
Do the same with last train.

Hope that helped. It seems long winded, but its just that I've written it so ANYONE can do it.

NEW Problem.

Sorry. I've just realised the 1E33 leaves an hour early off 1V39. It should leave at 12:58 not 11:58.
I'm going to look at the platforming.
As I'm running an early version of the timetable, it might not still be a problem, but I'll check and see what conflicts I find.
Sorry again.

1C31 times need to be adjusted by -6 mins. Entering Thingley at 1315 instead of 1321, arriving 1341 instead of 1346. This prevent the conflict with 1F16

It doesn't appear coz the last stock you sent in doesn't disappear. You have to manually remove it. Its a bug with Bristol. Soon to be resolved, I'm sure.

You need to look for 5V72. (Should be this train)

This train will be at Bristol Inner Reverse, standing at a Red signal.

Remove this train and 5O17 will appear.

Try This:
wait until second train almost in platform where joining train is waiting. Then QUICKLY go to the timetable option for the moving train, choose run to another timetable option and pick Bristol TM as location . close the option.
Hope this helps
Pete

This works in lots of cases but Not 100%

One small typo correction - not even a bug really - to 2005 Easy v4.0. In the description of 6B19, "Haverford West" should be a single word.

Using this timetable, on the modern era of Bristol (using the versions of SimSig and Bristol currently downloadable today, since I've only just reinstalled it), I'm having problems with two trains in the Avonmouth BHT area.

Firstly, 6D05-1 and 6D03-1 both appear from the same point, and somehow 6D03-1 managed to follow 05 out into BHT South road 2. I couldn't convince it to get out the way, so I had to remove it. I did not reset the route; it simply had not cleared after 05 passed. Probably waiting a bit after the shunter calls up to let 03 out would solve it temporarily.

Secondly - 6D05-1 now appears to be unable to move from BHT south road 2 to BHT north road 2. It shows as moving at 0mph in the correct direction; it's not stuck at a signal or anything. I tried reversing it; it went back to the far end of the south road, which put it back past SA613. So I cleared the route into north road 2, and reset it. Same result; train moved past SA613, then slowed to 0mph and hasn't got anywhere in an hour of game time.

Am I doing something wrong, or is there a slight bug here somewhere? (Knowing me, it's probably me doing something wrong, but...)

Re 2nd issue (Avonmouth BHT trains moving very, very, very slowly) this is, as far as I'm aware, a known issue. See here.
