I was coming through New Barnet today and saw that there are some non-electrified sidings in place that appear to still be connected to the main line. Out of interest, why were these not included in the sim, but New Southgate through siding was despite being taken up quite a while ago?

Below is a mock up of how I would have imagined the sim to look around New Barnet had the sidings been included and the New Southgate through siding removed:

Good point. Would have enabled my 1955 (still testing) ttable to run more authentically instead of having to do a work around. ::

Actually if you take the time to look around New Barnet as I did a couple of weeks ago while snow clearing, you will see the former connection on the Down Slow to the Sidings on the Down have been disconnected and are at the current moment in time been plain lined which means it is impossible for any train to safely use the sidings from the National Rail network.

I do believe it's only recent as I'm sure there's a photo of a charter in the booking office there dated 2006 so it's been unavailable for about 4 years minimum.

Just thought I give some local insight,

The New Barnet sidings is only a unwirered sidings, it isn't signalled either. I guess for a 1955 tt, the missing loco yards, and entrance/departure lines at KX stations are a lot bigger miss though

Down Sidings now disconnected as previously mentioned above (give me a few hours-or-so and I'll provide a photo) however I believe the up sidings are still 'open and in-use'. Indeed it wasn't overly long ago that I saw something yellow being stored in there - if I recall correctly it was two 'rail mounted' (wrong 'naming' I know but hope that makes sense) JCB-type diggers each with one low sided trailer wagon each. I think I have a photo somewhere of this if it helps at all, and it might be date-stamped too.

On the subject of the two sidings, as far as I can recall I have never seen the down sidings in use.
