It's already being done- if you open the current Trent sim, there is a 1970s option, but it is not possible to launch it on the current release.

I have several WTTs for the area/era, in particular for 1982, as I also have the Toton, Nottingham and Westhouses Trip notices, and the Nottingham Station Working Book for that year. I could produce a pretty complete timetable, if I had the SIM to put it on, with all the lost originating/destination points.

Join the club David. I too have the station working books for Nottingham for 1983, 1985, 1988/89 & 1990/91, as well as the Trip Notices & WTTs, but like the rest of us you probably be in for a long wait. One day the 1980s mode will be released, but until then it's a complete no go. I've already attempted to write a 1980s era timetable for Trent with the current version, but with so many Colliery branches, power stations along with missing locations it just doesn't work.
