Evening All.

I have some problems to host a SimSig simulation, here is the specs:

Modem/Router: Sagem 2764 FAST (GVT).
OS: Win XP Professional 32bits.
IP Internal(Gateway): 192.168.xx.x
IP External: xxx.xx.xxx.xxx

1. I just have config, Firewall settings to allow port 80 to accept connections, and i have question about the type of port that i use: (HTTP Port 80) is that right?

Rule: Simsig
IP Origin: Modem/Router IP (Gateway/internal)
IP Destination: My machine IP on my Local Network
Port Origin: 80
Port Destination: 80.

I test port 80 and is open on various sites...

For SimSig port destination is always 50505 I think (or you might be able to set it up when starting the sever i'm not certain), and although my knowledge of router mechanics isn't perfect I'm reasonably sure that the same port should be used for 2 different traffic types therefore your origin port should probably be something other than 80, using 50505 as it is the SimSig default makes it slightly quicker for other people to connect but any port which isn't used for other traffic should theoretically work.

Not sure where you got the idea of using port 80 though. Port 80 is reserved for web servers. Setting a rule up for that will have no effect on your SimSig server what so ever! I'd first recommend you take a look at the wiki as there is plenty of info on setting on a network game and so on.

For your specfic setup, first, your modem. If it contains a router then you will need to set port forwarding up on it. When you start SimSig as a server there is the Primary port 50505, a secondary port 50507 or a custom port (could be anything from 1024 up to 65535). Whatever port you set the server to use should be both the port origin and the port destination for the port forwarding.

If your PC has a firewall running, you also need to set a rule to allow the SimSig traffic through that as well.

When you have completed both of the above correctly, you should be able to accept incoming connections.
