1985 Timetable Joins 07/07/2013 at 17:51 #46726

Hi all,

I am really enjoying this 1985 timetable, but I am having a torrid time getting trains to join. Every train so far has required some moving around to get them to join. In every case, the two parts come together but then moan (via the F2 window) that the other part is in front, but neither will attempt to couple up. I am now stuck with 0T02-1 and 7T02 at the Midcalder Goods Loop where there is not enough room to manipulate the two halves to get them to join. Is there a sure-fire way to get two halves of a train to join?

I should mention at this point that both halves are at their correct points in their timetable, and I am certain that there is nothing else in the way.

Thanks.

For some reason, since the new release of the sim, with run-rounds at Midcalder and Redford Jn (which worked fine on the previous release) trains now require FX stopping positions for the loco to be able to attach on the other end of the train.

Apologies for the late reply; I have not had time to test this since you posted. Your suggestion solved the problems at Waverley and the trains now join correctly there, thanks a million! However, 0T02-1 and 7T20 still will not join at Midcalder Goods Loop, no matter how much coaxing I try. Do you have any further ideas?

Edit: scratch that, I accidentally removed the FX stopping position on 7T02. I will have to try again. Sorry about that!

For the non-techies, how do you insert FX positions, please?

Selection/tick box when in the edit window for that train and TT location.

I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

If you edit the train's timetable (f2 for current game only f4 for permanent change)... Highlight the location that needs a stopping position change..click on edit and down the bottom right of the window there is a drop down menu called stopping position...click on fx in the menu

hope this helps

Gareth
