I have this train enter the sim, I first just set the route for it to use the though road at Princes Risborough which ARS tells me routed off planned path which is my mistake so I cancel the route and double check the calling pattern to see if its using Platform 2 by clicking on the headcode I can see it is booked to call there at Platform 2 so I manually set the route for it only for the ARS to tell me routed off planned path

Has anyone else came across little quirks like this, why would the ARS tell me its a wrong route when its actually a right route that has been set?

I'm not moaning, just curious to see if anyone else was lucky to get it?

After you cancelled the route that you originally set did you 'make train ARS' again, otherwise the headcode would have remained Grey.
Also it's not ARS telling you it's routed off the planned path. ARS will only ever route the train via it's booked pathway. The sim acting as driver will tell you it's routed incorrectly

"Off planned path" is not necessarily the same thing as wrong route. It simply means that the ARS was coded to expect one route but you sent it another; ARS will probaly sort that out as it progresses - it's more intuitive these days.

However, in this case it does appear that you had wrong routed in fact.

As to why you got "off planned path" for what appears to be a correct path is potentially a bug but it'd need to be investigated. Have you tried running it again but routing it correctly at the first attempt? Does that still give the warning.

Is it possible that you might have also wrong-routed 1H04 further up the line at the same time? i.e. sent it via the through road at West Ruislip vice calling?
