Would it be a good idea to have tutorials for new players showing them how to set routes and use all the features of the game through the multiplayer using a simple sim.

A while back it was suggested for a non wiki getting started page on the site for newcommers. I'd hope if this materialises a multiplayer tutorial could be incorporated.

I could put up a session for newbies and ask them what they already know and what they would like to know and teach them about Simsig.

A quick search on YouTube turned up the following.....

There's a tutorial setting a route: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOUlFEq3Dwc
There also a video on how to use Royston: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOkCE8MYzzA

Hosting a session for newcomers is definitely a great idea.

I would always encourage any newcomer to join multiplayer games if for no other reason than just to watch. You can learn a lot about a simfrom that.

Also, a multiplayer game means you only have to be concerned about one small part of a sim rather than trying to deal with all of it which on the bigger sims can seem daunting.
