I think this has been touched on before, but only in passing in another thread. Max's ongoing problems with Brighton reminded me of it though .

I find the relatively new simplifier feature a great help when making regulating decisions at junctions - if nothing else, it saves having to scan a large area and click on individual headcodes to establish the booked order of trains, and really helps when a junction is close to a sim entry point (e.g. Gretna Jn). Its use is, however, rather limited when things are running late - or even a single train, which you're waiting for (using the Gretna example) before running one off the Dumfries line that would probably have had a margin if you'd known about the late-runner! Equally, I've struggled to keep up with the simplifier at somewhere like New Street - it takes a while to work out what's already departed (an ECS departing even just a few minutes early can still be halfway down the page!), and any late-runners are likely to disappear if you're a bit keen to refresh it.

With that in mind, would there be any possibility of adding some element of 'live' train-running info - sort of a crossover between a paper simplifier and TRUST, both of which are usually invaluable in reality - that shows the current (or "planned", in the case of trains that are yet to enter the sim) delay (and possibly the last reported location) and doesn't take trains off the list until they've arrived (in the case of trains terminating at the chosen location) or departed or passed (otherwise) to assist with regulating decisions?
