Good afternoon all, I am currently working on a timetable for Marylebone and am inputting the LUL workings. So my question is: Does anybody know what the minimum dwell times are for LUL trains, as there is no arrival time specified in the WTT. I was planning to use the 'dwell time' box instead so if anyone knows what the minimum times are, that would be a great help. Thanks a lot, Jamie. Log in to reply |

i think i right some one may know better than me they spend 10 secs in each stop off peak in peak hours is 20 secs

The process of closing the doors and getting the train underway must take the best part of ten seconds alone, so I think the dwell time will be rather more than that!

Best way to find out, go on youtube and count the seconds go by if you can't find out anywhere else

when i had a cab ride the driver sayed they are only post to spend 10 to 20 secs in the stop

Train stop < to > Train open the doors. 2. Train opening doors dwell. 3. Dwell time available for passengers to Enter/Exit. 4. Train closing doors dwell. 5. Train with the doors closed < to > Train start to move. This is my conception on dwell at station in that case. On the specific S8 Stock: 1. 2 seconds. 2. 3 seconds. 3. 8 seconds. 4. 5 seconds. 5. 5 seconds. So, you have a dwell of: 23 seconds. You only can "change" the factor number "3" (Dwell time available for passengers to Enter/Exit.) based on peak and off-peak period. Off Peak: 23 seconds. 1. 2 seconds. 2. 3 seconds. 3. 8 seconds. 4. 5 seconds. 5. 5 seconds. Peak: 31 seconds. 1. 2 seconds. 2. 3 seconds. 3. 16 seconds. 4. 5 seconds. 5. 5 seconds. On the Metropolitan Line for the area shown in the sim, the average dwell time is timetabled for 20 seconds. However this varies at the following places: Amersham N/B - trains can be booked to "arrive" up to 4 minutes earlier (to allow for detrainment) Chalfont - trains can be booked to "arrive" up to 1 minute earlier Rickmansworth - generally up to 1 minute each way allowed Harrow - generally up to 1 minute each way allowed. If you're using a Working Timetable, if the time has a letter inserted between the hours and minutes then the train has a booked "stand" or earlier arrival time. If it doesn't then the dwell has been timed for 20 seconds. The letters are generally "a" for ½ minute, "b" for 1 minute, "c" for 1½ minutes and so on.
