I am currently writing a timetable for Bristol, and have come across train 5E01.
I cannot find where the unit for this train has come from. Could anybody help? (I have probably missed something.)

Thanks in advance

Good afternoon,

IIRC the unit/units that form this service are stabled in the old parcels bay/platform 2 at Bristol Temple Meads & then shunt via Pylle Hill to platform 4 before forming the service. If I remember (and late turn train service permitting) I shall interrogate 'Genius' tomorrow & find out exactly & what the unit(s) that formed it (subject to the train running of course).

Regards
Dibbs

Good morning,

did this before work, as I know how the GWML has a tendancy to collapse on a late turn!

Today's (07/07/14) 5E01 is formed of 150131 (on diagram PM371) & its workings leading into forming the service are thus:

2V88 08:53 Weymouth - Bristol T.M. 11:28
5V88 11+30 Bristol T.M. - Platform 2 11+37
5E01 12+28 Platform 2 - Bristol T.M. 12:35
5E01 12+49 Bristol T.M. - Exeter St. Dvds 14+03

Best wishes

A fair shout Coops & assuming it runs tomorrow I can confirm as to whether the workings provided thus far are MX or not.

Not just on a late turn. You should see how they play fast and loose with the stopping trains from Weston to Bristol & vice versa, morning and evening!

Same as yesterday, albeit as part of diagram PM343.
