Hi all,

I'm having a bit of a problem with 5D541. The train comes in, splits, and the first train (London end) goes. After that, I'm left with 5D541. I signal for it to go about 2 minutes prior to booked time. Something leaves claiming to be 5D541, but then after it goes 5D541 is requesting TRTS at Signal 283. I let that go, but the track circuit is still occupied. Anyone know why?

Attached is a screenshot of Nottingham and trainlist

Regards,
Kieran

Trent....crikey not played that in a while. Still...

The train may split into more than one section in P6. It's clear that the last part is still in the platform. The key is what is the middle part called that currently labled as 5D541 as clearly it isn't! Since I can't see the entirety of the train list and since you don't state what TT you are using, I can't say what the middle bit should be oof the top of my head.

howver, here are some ways to find it....
a) If you know the headcode of the original service into P6, use the TT editor (press F4) to look up that original service to get the TT for entire train and see what happens in P6 at Nottingham. It should list the missing train ID. (If you click on the trains ID to get the TT, that will only show you whats left of the TT based on where the train currently is and not the whole TT hence the use of the TT editor)

b) Go through the train list and look for each train. One of them you won't be able to find and that'll be the extra train that's just left P6. The last reported location should help you narrow the list down.

c) Stop the train that's just left P6 at a red signal a bit further up the line and wait for him to call in. He will announce what train he is as part of the call and you can change the headcode accordingly. If you have happened to wrong route him in the meantime, he'll call in to warn you and again he'll give his headcode when he does.

Hope that makes sense....

I wonder if what has happened here is 5M041 and 5M042 have both run - so you have 2 x 5D541 in the area and presumably if you scroll up F2, 2 x 1M04. I'd imagine the train approaching Mansfield Jn on the US is actually 1M04, the unmarked train in P6 should be 5D541.

There should be a rule preventing 5M042 from running since 5M041 runs as required but it's missing in my copy at least.

Hi all,

Thanks for that. Forgot to put in the timetable is Trent 2007 V3.9. Looking at it now, you are right Peter - both 5M041 and 5M042 have run, with 2x 1M04 and 2x 5D541.

At least I know what's happening

Thanks again!

Kieran
