Postal (John Gallon) has uploaded a revised Length Calculater V1.4 based on Joe Chandler's original one, includes a SLU/feet/metres conversions. Download from Downloads/User contributed/Other stuff. It might be an idea to add any additions/corrections to this thread, either for people to add to their copy as they require, or for a generous person to put into an updated file! Perhaps one day we can advance to holding the data centrally with the front tab accessing the data online when the file is opened but that is beyond my capabilities. The front tab is protected (to stop me accidentally overwriting a formula when I was working on the worksheet - no password so people can still fiddle with it after they unprotect the sheet). My main note of caution would be that with the increasing number of private wagons, the codes are at times fairly unspecific. "KFA" can refer to bogie bolsters, container flats or even MOD flats, and PCAs cover a wide variety of different powder carrier wagons (albeit all fairly similar in design). A few more new ones: FEA-A/B/C Paired Bogie Container Wagons,40.48,75 KFA 'TIPH' Bogie Container Wagons,20.25,75 PCA 2-axle Powder Carrier,8.34,60 IHA 'Sfhimmns' Covered Steel Carrier empty,12.04,75 IHA 'Sfhimmns' Covered Steel Carrier loaded,12.04,60 And a few modifications: BCA/BEA also covers BAA/BDA (although I'm not entirely convinced that BCAs and BEAs are the same, as BEAs look a bit longer...) SDA, SEA and SKA are all converted from SPA wagons, and so can be grouped. However, the max speed of 75 seems a bit high, given that they're 2-axle wagons! Should this be 60? 'twas said he liked nowt better than a good late start. He was the driver for a Stephenson Locomotive Society special in (I believe) 1963, to visit Doncaster works. The loco was 60007, always reckoned one of the good 'uns. Apparently he had her rolling well over Stoke Summit, then told the footplate party that they had a minute (or was it five?) to stop him going for Mallard's record. He reached 113mph (the highest authenticated post-war steam speed) before caution got the better of Alan Pegler (who was the BRB representative on the footplate). You can add various items you find yourself & then re-save the file. I've done that myself by adding various different wagon types I've found from the original file that Joe(jc92) & myself created way back when it was first released.
