I tried a quick Google but couldn't find any information on this. In times of unexpected disruption, is there provision for Thameslink trains from Bedford to Brighton to be diverted via Selhurst instead of Crystal Palace? Since there don't appear to be any stops between Tulse Hill and East Croydon, I don't see why this would be an issue, except maybe things like driver training, route clearance or capacity. Are last-minute diversions done on this route? Are they supported in SimSig or do you need to manually modify the timetable?

One train a day is booked that way, so there's certainly no problems with route knowledge.

Yes, this is done on the fly by the signallers at Victoria & Three Bridges ASCs. Sometimes Sussex Control request this, too. The question was more "if I route a Thameslink train from Tulse Hill via Streatham/Selhurst without modifying the timetablewill it accept the route?". I'm guessing the answer to that is that it won't, since the final location in the timetable appears to be Norwood Junction, but I don't know; the occasion never came up for me to try it out while playing. But obviously for disruption in the other direction I'd have to manually alter entry points, yes.

One period around January had quite a few overnight trains going via Selhurst. If/when East Croydon gets released, I would *assume* that a diversion could be made if the need arises (Points Failure etc), provided VC Panel 2, Panel 3, and Three Bridges Panels 1 (yes plural) all agree to the diversion. As previously mentioned, at least one train in the morning is routed that way, and I think one may also start at Selhurst too, plus a couple of empties? In reality there are a handful of trains booked via Selhurst, as well as several Q paths via Clapham Jn. http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/search/advanced/SRS/2015/05/06/0000-2359?stp=WVSC&show=all&order=wtt&toc=TL They are crewed by a mixture of Bedford, Brighton and Blackfriars drivers, so all depots sign the route. Unless you are unlucky enough to get a new driver with limited route knowledge, in reality diverting trains on the fly shouldn't be a problem.
