Hello all,

another query for Wimbledon 2003, does anyone just by chance have the CWN for Southern? I only need the Epsom Weekday section, that's all. Not sure if it covers SWT as well but if it does that would be a plus.

Any help please would be much appreciated :)

Regards,

James.

No CWN unfortunately, I have an incomplete set of diagrams from 2003 which probably won't help, and what I think is a complete set from some point in 2004. I don't know what changes occurred to the timetable from 03 to 04 though.
Sorry guys, I am in the business of making people wait!

Underwood if you look at this website & scroll right down to the bottom there is a section on South west Trains slam door stock for the 1s part of 2005. not exactly 2003, but may give you a bit of an answer to what you are looking for:-

This is what I was going to find out for you on the other computer later James, so thanks Pascal for the link, it helps me trying to find it!

It's also got the full Southern CWN for 2005 (although divided into four pdf's), which again may give you some help and at least a bit of a basis. I know there would have been a lot more slammers in 2003 but I can't remember which if they were still on Epsoms*. I suspect they were more on Coastals and mains. I have seen pics of Horsham's via Dorking from 2004 using cl 455 and cl 455/6 mixtures.

EDIT: Looking at the CWN, there are still a few slammers on Epsoms and Horshams in 2005

2004 might be the closest. Thanks also Pascal for the link, although I do know of the site, I'm just wondering as that was the final years of the slammers on the Southern, I'm not sure if a lot may have changed since then.

May I have a dig round at what you have please Kaiwhara as it might come in use :)

Cheers,

James.

Hello again,

Got another one if some one would kindly look up for me please :)

2D56 1818 Epsom to Waterloo, what is this worked off of? 2D47 1737 Waterloo to Epsom is booked into Epsom at 1813, probably as there is a Southern service from the Sutton line coming in at 1810 - 1812. That only gives it 5 minutes to shunt to the Dn Siding and back to P4, and load, in time for 1818, a bit timing or is it possible?

Hi James

Probably stock dependent (haven't got turnarounds times from that long ago - but 2012 swt 8/455 7 min) but could have been a slammer which could have turnaround of 5 mins. I have in 2012 some early morning that depart towards Waterloo from P2 and also around the time you're asking for departing ECS towards Waterloo from 2. There are also some later night one that arrive and depart Epsom P2 in pax from Waterloo. So all in all, it may stay in platform 2 and depart from there rather than shunting to P4.

Not concrete but just a thought

Gareth

*facepalm*

Forgot about that! Tell you what, you spends ages hacking away at the off peak pattern, you kind of get stuck, and just assume that's the only operation, forgetting about starter signals at the other end, or anything else for that matter !

Thank you Gareth
