Recently, I've been listening to The John Dredge Nothing To Do With Anything Show (highly recommended by the way, if you like things like The Goon Show, Monty Python or The Burkiss Way). A few times, a character on the show gives his phone number saying something like: O six one to open the door, double two eight one, double eight four. Does anybody have any idea where that "to open the door" might come from? Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick. Log in to reply |
