There was another route I was looking at for the fastest time but I couldn't get below the previous best of 2:58 by RainbowNines as follows :- Chiswick Hounslow Richmond Isleworth Syon Lane Twickenham Mortlake Acton Central South Acton Both the departing station and the arrival station are in TFL Zone 3. Therefore if you touched in with an Oyster or Contactless card at Chiswick, made the journey off peak and then touched out at South Acton, you would be charged a fare of £2.00. Hold on you say - you would also have travelled through Zones 4 & 5 as well. But according to TFL's website single fare finder, the fare is shown as £2.00, despite the fact that the direct journey between Chiswick and South Acton would still take me out of Zone 3 and into Zone 4. I therefore also stake my claim for the lowest fare for a CHRISTMAS journey - Can anybody beat that one....! Log in to reply |
