Hi all,

Still enjoying this one very much.

I found the supplied 15th October 2009 timetable had a number of errors and platform conflicts and I've corrected as many as I can find. I certainly am not claiming I found all of them!

Being a newbie on here, I'm not sure of the etiquette so I'll ask the whether it would it be appropriate for me to upload the my amended timetable to the group?

If not that's fine - I don't want to tread on anyone's toes.

The Groundhog Day, 15th October 2009 timetables try to reflect reality. Any platform conflicts that are in there are exactly as the real signallers at Derby faced as the timetables come direct from the official NR publications, which frequently have these issues. However, this timetable is currently having a makeover by the author and will be released at the same time as the sim which is also having a makeover.

Thank you for this.

I my experience during my time in Derby PSB the station manager was responsible for the allocation of platforms and any alterations would not be done by the signallers alone. One of the PSB managers and the Station Manager together would have resolved any conflicts during the first week of the timetable and that is what I have attempted to do.

So whilst it may be true to say this is how it was on the date in question, it wouldn't have been like this for more than 24 hours!

The freight traffic is interesting too and the number of freight trains running via Derby rather than via the Chellaston Branch and Toton certainly makes for a very interesting time when you are trying to keep them and the passenger service apart whilst maintaining the timetable as far as possible.

I'm very pleased to hear that the Derby sim and its timetable are having as makeover and look forward to seeing it in its new form. Now I'm used to it is a very playable sim but extremely busy when set to a hard level.

Thank you to the author for creating it - I'm enjoying it very much.

Hi all,

Discovered a small issue with the Derby Sim.

I placed a line block on with Saltley PSB and whilst no trains appeared during the course of the line blockage, Saltley was still asking me to accept trains running early.

No biggie, just a glitch.
