Barry rename your main Man Pic sim to ManchesterPiccally1_0_0.sim then rename the 1_0_1 to ManchesterPiccadilly.sim, you shold then be able to access the timetables as normal
When Clive had people beta testing the updated Peterborough he used a naming regime of peterborough;NNN.sim with a version number after the semi-colon so there was no need to re-name or overwrite. These picked up individually in the loader (but without the version number showing) so you would see as many entries for Peterborough as were sims in your folder although IIRC the various sims were sorted alphanumerically in the same way as in your sim folder so you had a good chance of picking the right one. Whichever version was loaded then picked up all the TTs as expected without any further intervention from the user. I don't think the version-numbered sims pick up the splash screens but that's not a major problem in the overall scheme of things.

Would it be possible to version number sims in a similar way under this new bug-testing system?

Thanks John - that sure makes life simpler adding the semi-colon before the version number worked a treat.

Don't thank me, thank Clive. It was his innovation.

Not in those terms, but as far as I know, the version numbered sims were first used by people who volunteered to help Clive when he was reconfiguring Peterborough from .exe to loader sim and have not been used since. Clive's beta sims were all time-limited so regular updates had to be supplied. In order to help testers keep up to date with the latest version, Clive worked out that he could version-number the sims using the semi-colon divider. So not a case of only telling people who needed to know, more a case of the people doing a job being given the tools to do the job.

Now there is a case for a wider application of the same sort of version control because of the way that Geoff is trying to open out the testing processes. If you think that is wrong, please say so.

Misunderstanding. I meant that Geoff didn't need to know, only being the boss :)

Apologies. I had my tetchy head on when I was typing.

PS NorthRoad thinks I've just shown weakness.

Don't forget that, when you click on one in the list, the full filename is visible at the bottom. But perhaps there's a better way; I'll think.

Hi - I notice (I think) since this Loader update that in the Train List for the issued timetables for Manc Picc and Hunts Cross the Description column no longer includes the train type - instead just (). The same on the show timetable pop up. I don't recall this being the case when I first used these sims. Is this something I can manually adjust at my end to being it back?

Thanks
Nick
Fixed in the next update of the Loader.

I have had the new Loader on for a while, but was using saved sims, now when I try to start a new sim 1st time after update, I cannot get anything to work. Just wee blue circle as the clock ticks down, any ideas, cheers

Slow your simulation speed down by hitting N on the keyboard. Assuming the simulation is actually loading and it's the Windows "Egg timer" circle?

No it is just a blue circle , instead of egg timer. Only sim that does work is Edinburgh but that is not on the loader.

Okay you've not really described what the issue is.

If you try and load up a simulation does it load properly?

That's been around for a long time, it's fairly self explanatory. It might work, it might not.

No issues thus - except for a "Held by conditions" 2T00 that has been held for well-over 30 mins....not sure why but will make an appropriate forum post if I end up removing it.
