Currently the sim can't generate major emergencies. But in multi-play it might be good to simulate line obstructions (etc) with the signaller being able to put signals on for a whole section at once. Not sure how many signalling areas have the Big Red Buttons?

Thanks

Certain simulations are already fitted with SGRC switches. Newport, North East Wales, Cardiff, North Wales Coast to name some.

Very little point in simulating an ESOC as you may as well just turn the sim off.

"Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer

There's two schools of thought about this

1) The 'this is too much like work' crowd - rail employees who see SimSig as a game and would rather enjoy their time with a sim. People in this category might not be so keen on your idea!

2) Hardcore players/maniacs - I'm sure you can find people in this category who would try this out with you. Make sure you have a skilled and experienced host! Diverting, reversing and changing the orders of many trains at once is tough. Everybody has to be on the same page.

Your best bet is to have this happen on a sim which has a clear diversion for your trains, such as bidi signalling or a four-track corridor, otherwise the player at the other end of the incident isn't going to be doing much!
