I had a train approaching signal 552, on the up slow near New Cross Gate, and another train not far behind it. Signal 552 was showing green with the route set onto the reversible.

I set a route from 556 to 552 before the first train had passed 552. When I did so, the train description stepped to 536, track TNGPB changed from red to white, but track TNGPK stayed at unoccupied - as if the first train had vanished! A few seconds later, track TNGPK showed Occupied and the train continued on its way as normal.

Is this a bug? Albeit one caused by me setting a route when the track ahead was still occupied.

Already reported (#20577), most likely caused by the Up Sussex Loop connection at that point in the later era.
Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick.
