Some are, some aren’t. Various factors involved.

The age of the installation has an effect, and as with all railway signalling there are always exceptions.

It’s fairly common for banners not to be drawn on the panel or even IECC displays, yet still be proved in the Interlocking.

On the Western Region, most banners were lamp proved in the ON position but not the off. For the signal in rear to clear the banner either has to be ON and LIT, or OFF but it doesn’t matter if it is lit in the OFF position.

The Greenwich, North Kent and Bexleyheath lines under Panel 5 at LBASC have lots of unproven Autos, however as from this weekend, it will be migrated to TBROC on the Lewisham Workstation and all Auto signals with Signaller replacements will have lamp proving and there will be axle counters in place of track circuits.
