Hullo all,

I’m looking to make a Train Staff based on what I believe to be a GWR pattern, and was wondering if anyone on here might have any dimensions for them? If there was a standard pattern...?

I assume there was at the Train Staffs I have seen are more or less identical (the Network Rail Tytherington Train Staff and the GWSR Toddington-Cheltenham/Toddington-Laverton Train Staffs).

Any help would be much appreciated!

I'm not an expert in the subject.
Back home in Argentina where Staff tokens were quite widely used, they for the most part were standard in overall size by had different sized and positioned "ridges" so they couldn't be put in the wrong machine (such as a token exchange point). So the token for section A just wouldn't fit in the section B staff machine.
Overall, they were the same size. Some could be split in half as well (I believe they were used for long sections when intermediate block posts were shut).

These are from the book GWR Signalling by Adrian Vaughan published by OPC' The identifying colours used on Trainstaffs are contained in the Working Timetable for the respective line.
