We're aware of some issues with the website, especially the Shout Box. We're investigating but while we do that, the website may become unresponsive for a few moments each time. Apologies.

Thanks for the update Geoff, I noticed a few odd happenings this evening, being randomly logged out for one (don't know if that is of use) - also the "who's online" is now at the bottom of the left panel - i'm sure it didn't used to be unless i'm losing my marbles!

Regards, Andy

"Who's online" has always been at the bottom. Website should be okay now.

The technical issue was we increased the application pool processes, creating a "web garden" (not farm) which in turn meant that SignalR used for the shoutbox was talking to a different chat server process, thus 1/3 of requests got the right server while 2/3 of requests failed. This application pool setting also seemed to affect the timezone handler (converting times into your local time) which then also caused issues downstream, as it gracefully logged the error and returned incomplete pages to the user. Finally, not an error as such, but changing the application pool settings also invalidated login cookies so it defaulted to the safe option of requiring you to log in again. Rolled back the application pool settings and everything seems to be okay again.

Apologies.

That said I've just logged back in& the username section is all over the place. It always used to be in numerical & alphabetical order. Not anymore. Is anyone else getting this?

It's in reverse chronological order, as in the most recent to log in is the first listed. It does fluctuate slightly as "last seen" is not updated upon every single request as that would just send the database into meltdown.

I noticed a bit sluggish and some empty game list/shout boxes, then a click-through fixed it, so node/intermittency issues I guess.
