Hi all,

Please see attached exception which crashes West Yorks. It's happened twice to me, is this my copy of V5 which needs reinstalling?

TIA

There's nothing attached to your post for me to view.

Yeah, sorry about that. After I'd posted the first time, I spotted some sensitive information on chrome behind it.

Needed to take it down sharpish - an edited screenshot is up now.

No worries. Have you got a save just before it happens, and steps to reproduce?

Is it actually fatal or does it work okay if you just click ok?

Yes, there's an autosave file for 0103. I take it that this is by design when the exception occurred?

And yes, it was fatal.

One thing I did notice, the slot from / to Milford West Junction remains given throughout; in the old version (it's been a few weeks since using WY so forgive any ignorance) isn't the slot given up automatically after the train passes through?

A quick try and I can't reproduce the error from that save, does it happen every time for you?

And when you say it was fatal, what actually happened when you clicked ok? Did the sim crash out? Did trains just not move?

The sim fully crashes, doesn't even return to the menu.

I'll reinstall it, see if that fixes it. Thanks for the help!

I've just had something similar on Manchester East, an exception was thrown up and the sim eventually completely closed down having frozen.

The good news is it does not happen every time. The bad news is I've discovered this happy fact by returning to my previous save, playing through to just before 2H54 entered (the error message mentioned 2H54, but I can't remember exactly what it was, 'run something'), saving and then trying to reproduce the error so I could get the message down properly and upload a save. But the error didn't reappear and as you can tell I've forgotten the error message. Sorry for the lack of information to go on, but another data point perhaps?

Do you have a log file (might just be a tester thing)? If you do it'll be found in the same folder as the launcher.

It's a text file called 'SimSigLoader' if you have one. I think you should- the logging may not be as verbose as a tester's though.
